So how did we go from taking photographs of animals at a Zoo to Weddings? This was a fluke and a surprise that happened roughly 3 years ago with many landscape photography mixed in beforehand. This ‘social grooming’ is an important aspect of gorilla groups which helps to establish and reinforce social. Gorillas will groom each other by combing each other with their fingers and teeth. Different groups can however occupy converging areas and co-exist peacefully. Wedding photography was something that my wife and I never considered. Gorilla family groups each live within relatively small areas of land.
